Herbicides & Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs)

This is the main group of chemicals we formulate for both major multi-national companies and smaller, generic, privately owned regional companies.
In processing this group of chemicals we utilise a number of different technologies, i.e., complex low pressure extrusion (Fuji Paudal) of water dispersible/soluble granules (WDGs/SGs), impregnation or coating of granules for direct/broadcast application (GRs) and, our newest processing plant, which is a twin roller compaction unit (Alexanderwerk).
All these plants can be used to formulate advanced types of granules for herbicide and PGR granular products.
In addition, for PGR processing only, we have an aqueous formulation plant which is located in an isolated processing bay equipped with semi-automatic filling lines for 1L to 20L bottle filling/labelling/packing.

High Potency Sulphonylurea Herbicides

Exwold are active in the area of contract formulation and granulation of sulphonylureas and have a proven track record of manufacturing commercial scale quantities in the market place. Our current manufacturing capability caters for smaller volume customers in the region of 1 to 5 metric tonnes per year, however, at Exwold we are always happy to discuss expanding the facility by working in partnerships with our clients.

The manufacturing facility is supported by a range of packing options which can be discussed in depth during projects of this nature.

The manufacturing facility is also supported by Exwold's excellent standards in safe-handling, containment and stringent cleandown procedures.

Insecticides/Acaracides

We have specialised drum blender plants equipped to manufacture impregnated/coated granules (GRs) for direct application in crop protection markets such as root and tubor vegetables.
We also have facilities for washing and refilling returnable containers which are commonly used for the application of this group of crop formulations. Currently, we re-fill in excess of 40,000 containers per annum.
