Granule Production by Extrusion

Granule Production by Extrusion

Exwold employs the industry standard technology for extruding granules based on radial extrusion. The industry acknowledges Exwold's expertise in the application of this technology and we offer a well proven approach with consistently high quality results.

Low pressure extrusion techniques in combination with continuous fluid bed drying offers a versatile approach to a wide range of granulation requirements.

The diameter of the granules range between 0.8mm and 2.0mm, depending on the screen selected. The granule length is approximately 3 times that of the diameter but will be dependant on the formulation used.

Production of larger and harder granules is possible using axial extrusion. Exwold also has the capability to develop formulations through low volume pilot plant trials.

Through the use of nitrogen inerting in the drying process, it is also possible to handle more difficult materials.

This process is used extensively within the global agrochemical industry in the production of herbicides, pesticides and plant growth regulators.
