Powder Compacting

Powder Compacting

Roll compacting is a way of producing lower cost granules by means of very high pressures and is an ideal way of producing a relatively dust free, free flowing granule from a powder feed material. No liquid addition or binders are required. It is a fully enclosed continuous system comprising recycling of fines and oversized particles.

The powder feed material is passed through two rollers under gravity which compress it under controlled high pressure into a flat 'ribbon' which is then milled into the desired granule size. These sizes can range from 0.5mm to 10mm.

Roll compacting is a very versatile granule production technique which lends itself well to a range of speciality chemical applications, such as flame retardants, de-icing products, water treatment products, animal feed additives and many more.
