Size Reduction by Crushing/Kibbling

Crushing is sometimes referred to as kibbling, de-compaction or granulating and is a size reduction technique.

At Exwold, we have several types of plant equipment available to break down hardened, compacted or fused products.

Kibbling can be achieved using cheese-grater type screens or rotating knives to provide a coarse product with particle diameters of between 3mm and 25mm. This technique is very useful for reclaiming un-used stock or for providing a more manageable feed source for fused materials.

Our kibbling equipment is ideal for reclaiming compacted products which only require a small amount of energy to break them back to their original particle size.
